Coal tar pitch is usually mixed with other products. For example, mixed pitch is a dispersion system of limited mutual solubility between coal tar pitch and petroleum pitch. The stability of the dispersion system is related to the surface tension of the dispersion phase and the interface of the dispersion medium.The smaller the surface tension is, the greater the affinity is and the more stable the component is.
